Executive Council

The Officers, Honorary Secretary and Honorary Treasurer are elected, from nominations, by the Annual General Meeting.
The Council elects its own Chair at the first meeting of the Council following the AGM, which ratified the new Council.
Vice Presidents are appointed by the Executive Council, nominally for life, usually from long serving Council members who look like escaping.

Member Group Representatives, one per group, are ratified at the A.G.M although, with the agreement of the Executive Council, a group may change its representative at any time. It is only the Group Representatives who actually have a vote. Unless they resign or are replaced by their Group, Group Representatives remain on the Council by default.

The council may co-opt useful persons from time to time if there is a dearth of a particular skill.
